The research group Phina - The phi-syntax of natural languages, certified by CNPq since 2010, aims to bring together researchers who analyze the grammar of natural languages based on the constitution of syntactic, phonological, morphological, and semantic theories of these languages. For this purpose, the group has developed several activities to promulgate individual works, including local, national, and international events. The group works with some Brazilian educational institutions, such as UFAL and UFRPE. Since 2014, the group has been in an important partnership with Queen Mary, University of London. Recently, the group counts on Professor Artemis Alexiadou’s collaboration, from the Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), and Professor Andrés Saab, from the Consejo Nacional de Investigación Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET), IIF-SADAF (Argentina).
